Frequently asked questions about livQ Bio-Primärhefe

Frequently asked questions about livQ Bio-Primärhefe – Organic Brewer’s Yeast

Is livQ Bio-Primärhefe prebioticly active?

Oligosaccharides in the cell membrane of the brewer’s yeast  are not digested in the stomach because of special chemical bonds. Arriving in the gut their prebiotic effect comes to light: they support valuable gut bacteria. Only specific bacteria can solve the chemical bonds in the yeast’s oligosaccharides and use the sugars. In conclusion, only the good bacteria proliferate while undesired bacteria die off.

Why is liquid, pre-digested brewer’s yeast better?

In its original form, brewer’s yeast is liquid. Only in this form, the body is able to recognise the natural ingredients and can use them. Also, only this form guarantees fresh and full yeast cells. The membrane of the yeast’s cells is strong and resistant against the stomach acid. The body is not able to digest the cell. At livQ, those cell membranes of the liquid livQ organic brewer’s yeast are gently pre-digested by a thermolytic process. Only this process leads to evolvement of the yeast’s power in the body. The valuable contents survive and become bioavailable.

Which natural agents are contained in livQ organic brewer’s yeast?

While fermenting during brewage the yeast either builds or stores a variety of vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and amino acids: e.g. B-Vitamins, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, phosphorus, iron, chromium, selenium and glutathion. Moreover, brewer’s yeast delivers valuable protein and prebioticly active oligosaccharides from the cell membrane. Brewer’s yeast contains a natural glucose-tolerance factor (GTF), which is – combined with the chromium – essential for digestion of sugar.

When do you need increased Vitamin B intake?

B-Vitamins are essential for the digestion of fat, protein and carbohydrates. They are important for healthy skin, hair, nails and strong nerves. Sugar consumption inhibits the intake of vitamin-B through the gut flora. In addition, sugar, coffee, tea and alcohol reduce any further rests of B-vitamins in the body. Therefore an ancillary nourishment is recommended.

Baker’s yeast is living yeast cells, which are offered fresh or dried. Those cells are only bred to yield. They are not used for fermentation in a nutritious culture medium.
